Leather jacket with level 5 protection

High quality leather jacket in blouson-style with level 5 cut protection. Every jacket is handmade and meets the highest demands.

The jacket looks from the outside like an ordinary leather jacket, but the inside is provided with an inlay of Spectra- and aramid fibre and thus provide a maximum of cut resistance! In spite of the Level 5 strengthening the jacket is very comfortable to wear. With its weight of only 1900 g the jacket is only slightly above the weight of a normal leather jacket with 2000 g.

On the outside are flap pockets to the left and the right with a hidden welt pocket for the hands. In the left pocket is (hidden from the pocket flap) another small pocket. It is possible to place a ballpen therin or to clip a walkie-talkie on it. Inside the jacket are on both sides pockets with a popper fastener.

The epaulettes are sewed, the collar can be fixed with a popper fastener as needed. Durable, knitted cuffs on waist and sleeves complete the blouson-style.

Differences between KevlarŽ and SpectraŽ

SpectraŽ is used in the manufacturing for protective clothing like KevlarŽ, e.g. gloves or bulletproof vests, but it finds it use also in common objects like car tyres or shopping-bags.

SpectraŽ is ten times stronger than steel and compared to KevlarŽ ca. 40% lighter and less bulky – thus it can be better manufactured and is more comfortable to wear. It has no woven structure, thus several layers are not needed – this saves additional weight and bulk.

All things considered protective clothing made of SpectraŽ is lighter, more flexible and thus more comfortable to wear than those made of KevlarŽ.

Level 5 – what is that?

To determine the cut resistance of a fabric, a razor blade is used to cut into the material. The more pressure can be applied to the razor blade without damaging the fabric, the higher the cut resistance: a small cut resistance has a level of 1, the highest possible level is 5.
