PRODEF® Security gloves, leather, cut protection against knife attacks

Subtle, lightweight, and extremely cut-resistant in self-defense situations – better than any ordinary glove.

These gloves are made from soft, high-quality leather and impress with their excellent craftsmanship. Outwardly, they look like regular gloves, but inside they are lined with a HPPE cut-resistant fabric (High-Performance Polyethylene), providing maximum protection in self-defense situations.

Why HPPE?
We use HPPE fibers because they offer clear advantages over aramid fibers: they are UV-stable and do not absorb moisture. This is especially important for gloves, as stability and cut resistance are not compromised by sweat. Exposure to sunlight also has no effect on their protective properties – the gloves can safely be left in the sun.

What makes HPPE cut-resistant fibers so special?
HPPE is up to 40 times stronger in tensile strength than conventional aramid fibers, 60 times stronger than carbon or glass fibers, and 15 times stronger than steel. Combined with UV stability, low stretch, and exceptional cut resistance, HPPE is the ideal choice for protective gear. For this reason, it is used in helmets, shields, protective clothing, and armor.

These gloves are not personal protective equipment under Regulation EU 2016/425. They are specifically designed for self-defense purposes and are not suitable for occupational cut protection, e.g., for butchers, glaziers, or forestry workers.
