A pyrotechnic propellant fires the irritant at a very high speed (approx. 120 m/s) at a distance of up to 7 meters.
The disposable cartridge contains 4 charges of irritant, which can be fired one after the other. Once the two charges have been used up, the cartridge can be replaced with a new one in a flash. Thanks to a special self-cleaning system, no irritant residue remains in the cartridge chambers.

The Jet Protector JPX may be purchased in Germany for the purpose of animal defense. For this intended use, it is not subject to the provisions of the Weapons Act and may be purchased and carried without a license. No firearms license is required. In a self-defense situation, the device may also be used against people.
